Numerous hiking and mountain bike paths start from Porta. Rustico Porta is spread over 2 floors and is ready to accomodate up to 6 guests. It has 3 bedrooms with 4 beds ( 2 bedrooms with a double bed plus 1 bedroom with 2 single beds); one bathroom with a shower; a small living/dining room with a small sofa and a well equipped kitchen. The guests can enjoy outside meals/barbeque in the inner cortile or in the garden. Outside are is well equipped with tables, benches, chaits, sunbeds and a large 3 seater swing. Electric mountain bikes are available in place. One day free usage is offered by the property to allow the guests to explore the surroundings. Rustico Porta does not have its own parking lot. Comunal parking spots are available nearby. Free bus line 8 run from Porta to the Lake/center of Brissago. The hosts are available any time on phone/email Communal parking, free bus to get to the center of village and the lake The small town of Brissago , on the western shores of Lake Maggiore, is in the Ticino canton, close to the Italian border. The town has everything guests need for a relaxed holiday. The ferry terminal (15 minutes walk) allows visitors access to the famous Brissago Islands. With their sub-tropical botanical gardens and restaurants, they make a great day trip. The Beach of Brissago ,caressed by the waves of the Maggiore Lake and spread over the vast area, provides guests with various facilities, like swimming pools, including the swimming pool for children, slide (75 meters), cocktail bar and a restaurant. The beach is equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas and has a comfortable access for swimming in the lake. For more adventurous guests, there are many activities in the area including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and water sports. Boat tours are available on request.
